Happy Valentines Day!

February 14, 2009

Here are a couple of cartoons from my favorite political cartoonist, Michael Ramirez:

The love affair continues.

Yeah … I think they are rolling in their graves over this one.

NBC Commercial Rejection

January 29, 2009

NBC won’t run this ad during the superbowl citing that they do not allow political or issue advocacy advertisements. They also rejected a PETA sponsored commercial that depicts mostly naked women fondling a variety of vegetables. The claim of the PETA ad is that vegetarians make better lovers. NBC stated they would be willing to work with PETA if they edited the commercial to meet their standards of sexual content. So my question is this: isn’t PETA and the point of their commercial issue advocacy? If “issue advocacy” is an issue for them, then why even work with PETA at all?

Totally weak NBC.

Classless Obamatons

Check this clip out:

Those people should be absolutely embarrassed for themselves. Obama supporters should be embarrassed by them.

Here and There

January 21, 2009
  •  I have to join with my friend Dan Phillips, of Biblical Christianity and Teampyro, and ask the same question he posed in this post about Joseph Lowrey’s inaugural benediction.
  • I am saddened by, but have to agree with Dick Morris’ assessment of the next 2 or 4 years here. We really shouldn’t be surprised if his predictions come true though. Obama was hardly in the closet about these things during his campaign.
  • Why do we even have a confirmation process?  Is it so our senators can just show a little “token resistance” to satisfy their constituency?  It just seems to me that your background should be pretty flawless in the area of taxes if you plan on being the Treasury Secretary and in charge of the Internal Revenue Service.  Here’s Geithner’s answer when asked about the “oversight” in his confirmation hearing. Read here to see how Geithner actually blamed Turbo Tax for his failure and sent Intuit stocks plummeting in the process.
  • Looks like our new Vice President is stepping in it already!
  • Okay … Now be careful in the bathtub!! WOW!!
